Melanie Giselle

Melanie Giselle is a multifaceted musician and vocalist; a Uruguayan-New Yorker who experiences music with an open lens. She comes from a broad background of influences such as jazz, punk, blues, post-punk, tango, synth-pop, classical music, and has played bass and guitar in several bands of the New York scene. Her transition to jazz vocals began after becoming enamored with the boundless nature of the genre, which took her to study formally in New York after performing as a solo artist in her hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Melanie is now based in Manhattan where she performs her original songs, traditional Latin-American music and heart-felt interpretations of jazz standards around the city.
