MEIC-Music Education in China

The Music Education in China documentary series, or MEIC, is part of the "Music Education and Teaching Research Base Project”.  The project is conducted under the supervision of Professor Yu Danhong at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, who was appointed by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.  The MEIC series provides a comprehensive exploration of present day Chinese music education at all levels.  It takes the viewer on a journey from the theoretical development of various pedagogical techniques to how their implementation reflects the real mainstream trends and characteristics of the times.
