Mathematically Connected Communities

Mathematically Connected Communities (MC²) is a group of dedicated math educators, teachers, mathematicians, and administrators who are working collectively to improve mathematics learning for all K-12 students across New Mexico. MC² is a research-based organization, that understands that change and improvement in mathematics teaching and learning results from meaningful, authentic, classroom-based experiences where teachers’ expertise is recognized and used as a resource for improving practice.  In addition, MC² provides partner districts with on-going implementation and leadership development in mathematics. These trainings are conducted at specified math labs, institutes, academies and sessions during the summer and throughout the year for district implementation and leadership teams  to experience problem-based mathematics and to help increase their effectiveness in building a better mathematics program.
