Martin Goes Offshore

What does it actually take to become capable of sailing alone around the world?

I’m Martin, a sailor from landlocked Hungary working toward a solo circumnavigation — one passage, one skill and one hard-earned lesson at a time.

Martin Goes Offshore documents the real road to becoming an ocean sailor: training, offshore passages, boat search and ownership, refit, seamanship, navigation, weather, failures, costs, preparation and eventually the voyage itself.

No pretending to be an expert. No manufactured drama.

Document the competence. Don’t claim it.

This is the making of an ocean sailor.
