MARINAPIS (a melliferous forest, a black bee)

The Austrian black pine was often the pioneer tree chosen by foresters for its ability to adapt to dry soils, hot summers, cold winters on highly degraded soils or even on rock. It is found half the time in monoculture.

Lou Malivers is a forest located on the Causse Sauveterre. The black pine monoculture type plantation was not maintained. There are practically no bee resources.

The project is to transform a melliferous forest by clearing up, adding paths and plant species from the annual to the tree capable of providing resources to pollinating insects throughout the year. But taking into account climate change and the needs of foresters.

The second objective is to safeguard the endemic black bee and allow it its ancestral environment which is the forest. But also favoring all other pollinators.

All while practicing natural beekeeping that resp
