The Katzenbach School for the Deaf- New Jersey's School for the Deaf is committed to providing Deaf and Hard of Hearing students with a comprehensive education within a diverse learning community.

We encourage and foster a love for learning and life long development of the whole student through academic, emotional, social, cultural, vocational, residential, and extracurricular activities.

We strive to develop effective communication skills in our students through proficient use of American Sign Language (ASL) and English to ensure that our students reach their maximum linguistic potential.

At Katzenbach, we are accountable for promoting student achievement in a safe environment by setting high expectations.

We believe the involvement of parents and families, students, school districts, the Deaf community and the community at large are vital in assisting our students in becoming productive members of our society.
