Maria Moon performances and original songs

Maria Moreira-Edwards, ATCL is a Voice graduate from the Trinity College of London. This eclectic and highly creative Singer & Songwriter was born to Angolan parents in Lisbon in the 70's. She relocated to England near Southend On Sea in 1997. Her sales career in music publishing was interrupted with a relocation to Dubai in 2008 where she remained for 11 years.  She is a prolific artist with a passion for writing captivating lyrics for a variety of genres. As a trained classical singer, Maria has a broad vocal range which extends to 4 octaves, however she prefers dramatic and theatrical aspects of her music which is rooted in the portuguese traditions of Fado, alternative Folk and contemporary Jazz. Beyond her captivating performances, Maria founded music charity in April 2025: Maria Moon Music CIC. This Southend charity is dedicated to early years music education, and Singing. Today she continues to write songs, books and short stories for theatre/film.
