manic fidelity

Sunset music made by people who knew sunrise for complicated reasons.

Sample-based production feels remarkably similar to the way I approach photography. “It's not my stuff I'm looking at. The art is in the timing and framing, and in recording something interesting about the relationships between them.”

Manic Fidelity was my experience before it became a name. It is frenzied accuracy, ecstatic faithfulness, restless devotion, chaotic loyalty, an unstable pursuit of something stable.

In Plato’s Phaedrus, Socrates distinguishes ordinary pathological madness from what he calls forms of divine mania: prophetic inspiration, Dionysian/mystic frenzy, poetic inspiration from the Muses, and erotic madness associated with love.
