Manazuru"The ship festival of Kibune shrine"

The Kibune Festival is an annual festival of Kifune Shrine (Manazuru Town, Ashigarashimo District, Kanagawa Prefecture), which is said to have been founded in 889 in the middle of the Heian period, and is held at various locations within Manazuru Town. July every year.
On the first day of the festival, the mikoshi takes a boat from Kifune Shrine to a village on the opposite shore, and on the second day, after holding an event in the village, it returns to Kifune Shrine.
It is one of Japan's three major boat festivals and has been designated as a national important intangible folk cultural property.
