Mackerel Mediterranean

Mackerel Mediterranean | Upon the Tides of Thought and Time

Hark!
Thou who wander’st through this vast, uncharted sphere of light and sound,
Step softly — for thou art come upon a shore
Where soul doth speak, and silence hath a voice.

I am Mackerel Mediterranean,
A bard not of lute and court,
But of railways, rainy streets, and rustling leaves.
Herein, thou shalt find not pomp nor pretense,
But musings born of solitude,
And glimpses of a heart that beats ’neath storm and star alike.

This channel be a vessel —
Sailing not the seas, but the secret depths of memory,
Where each frame is a verse,
Each pause a prayer,
Each tale a whisper sent to thee across the wind.

Should thy heart long for more than noise and haste,
And seek the poetry in the passing hour —
Then stay. Watch. Listen.
And let the reel of life unfold
As if the world itself were stage, and thou the kindred soul I never knew I knew.
