Love Wantage

Welcome to the to place for 'shop local' videos about the wonderful market town of Wantage in South Oxfordshire. We have lots of great independent shops and salons plus a range of cafes, pubs and restaurants to suit every taste. More videos are planned for the future.

Visit the Vale and Downland Museum in Church Street to find out more about the rich history of the area, including our connection to Alfred the Great, born in Wantage 849AD.

Wantage Town Team works to benefit Wantage town centre and is supported by Vale of White Horse District Council.

The team consists of representatives from Wantage Town Council, Wantage and District Chamber of Commerce and Vale of White Horse District Council, and is co-ordinated by Iain Nicholson (iain@prbi.co.uk) and Mim Norvell (mimnorvell@gmail.com) and supported by local volunteers.
