Lori Montry - Somatic Practitioner

I'm Lori Montry, a somatic practitioner, and I teach how your nervous system learned to keep you safe, and why those same patterns can keep you stuck long after you need them.

People pleasing, overthinking, emotional eating, the guilt that arrives the moment you sit down to rest, the exhaustion of being the one everyone counts on: each of these started as an intelligent response to the life you were living, and each makes sense once you can see it at the level of the body.

For the first forty years of my life I lived as the version of myself I thought I had to be, with a Harvard law degree and a career that looked right from the outside and didn't feel like mine. Understanding my own patterns is what changed that, and it is what I teach here.
