LoopedInHistory

Indian history and thought, told honestly.

This is a channel devoted to the parts of Indian history and mythology that schoolrooms rarely approached, let alone explored with any imagination. Here you may stroll through the courts of the Mauryas, stand beneath the bronzework of the Cholas, follow the maritime dreams of the Satavahanas, and listen to the quiet philosophies of wandering monks who shaped entire civilizations.

Mythology lives here as vividly as history. You will meet the storytellers who carried the Mahabharata across centuries, the poets who first imagined the Ramayana’s moral universe, the sculptors who breathed life into Yakshas and Nagas, and the folk traditions that braided gods and humans into one long, luminous conversation.

If you have ever suspected that Indian history and mythology were far richer, stranger, and more human than the versions you learned at school, you are in excellent company.
