Looking China 看中国 - Lens of World Youth Filmmakers

Looking China Youth Film Project is dedicated to providing a brand-new perspective on China for global audiences.

Every year, we will invite young filmmakers from all over the world to China, to create short films on different themes of Chinese society, culture, and life. We aim to introduce Chinese culture worldwide and contribute to a harmonious world culture through art works with Chinese characteristics.

Our young filmmakers come from North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and other regions, studying in colleges with top film and television subjects. We encourage them to fully explore their initiative and innovation, choose the perspectives of their own interest, visit different provinces to experience Chinese culture, and present a panoramic picture of contemporary China.

The program was initiated by Academy for International Communication of Chinese Culture. The academy was jointly established by Beijing Normal University and International Data Group.
