Longleaf Studios at Jacksonville State University

Longleaf Studios is an experiential learning entity housed in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences at Jacksonville State University, where students learn the art of filmmaking through active participation in service-learning filmmaking opportunities. The faculty-led film studio provides hands-on learning experiences for students through actual film projects for external clients. Our most notable client, Alabama Public Television, has contracted Longleaf Studios over the last five years to produce hour-long documentary films based on historical events and figures significant to our state.
