On October 9th, 2013 I have my consultation for Gastric Bypass RNY surgery. I am 5'4 1/2" and weigh 245. That puts me at a BMI of just over 40. A little of my history, as a child I wasn't overweight. I don't remember becoming fat it was just like one day I woke up and I was huge. My mom says that I doubled in size from age 10 to 11. But I honestly do not remember. I do remember having size D boobs in the 4th grade and they haven't changed since, but as far as me becoming overweight I have no idea. At my highest weight I was 296. I have done all kinds of crazy diets, but did have success on ADIPEX, which is a prescription pill for those of you who do not know. I lost 90 pounds on it.Obviously, I gained half of it back. So I've opted for help. I need help. I need that tool, that slap on the hand to tell me "no"!!!
This is going to be my journey. My failures and l my successes!
