lemonindex

The Lemon Index ranks cars by what actually happens to them, using real owner data instead of opinions.

Every video is a study: millions of owner complaints, recalls and repair reports from public government data (NHTSA, EPA) and car owner communities, turned into one simple score.

The Lemon Index: 100 = the average car. Under 100 means fewer problems than average. Over 100 means more. The higher it goes, the bigger the lemon.

What we cover:
• The most and least reliable cars, brands and model years
• Used cars worth buying (and the ones to avoid)
• Recalls, common problems and what they cost to fix
• EV vs gas, trucks, SUVs and more

No sponsors in the rankings and no dealer deals. Just the data.
