LeHay's Shaker Boxes

I'm Rob LeHay, and I've been making Shaker boxes by hand in Embden, Maine since 1993. Here you'll see what I'm working on in the shop: Shaker oval boxes, sewing carriers, recessed lid boxes for needlework, button boxes and trays, in milk paint or an antiqued natural finish, all finished with tung oil. Some are antique paper-lined, with 1800s newspapers and theater playbills.

With each new batch, I'll put out a video of the finished pieces the day before they go up on lehays.com. Between releases the shop page often sits empty, and when that happens, please know I'm out in the workshop building the next batch. Newsletter readers hear about each release first, and you can sign up at lehays.com/pages/newsletter-signup.

Pull up a chair, and if there's something you'd like to see, let me know.
