Laurent Matheïs: A Poetic & Alternative Journey

Welcome to the world of Laurent Matheïs, a musical traveler capturing life’s long walk. This is the notebook of a man who "hums his way through existence," observing the landscape, the people, and when needed, letting out a primal cry.

A Tapestry of Influence Laurent’s sound is an alchemy shaped by decades of exploration:
● Foundations: The storytelling of Brassens and the folk of Malicorne.
● The Edge: Higelin, the surrealism of Thiéfaine, and Gothic New Wave.
● The Grit: 60s/70s Rock evolving into Grunge, Punk, and Electronica.

Solo Revival After years in Montpellier and Narbonne with bands like Stereofungus and Jive, Laurent returns from a period of wandering. This "return to service" marks a chapter where experience meets intuition.

"I just watch the landscape, I watch the people, and sometimes I scream."
