Lap Quilting With Georgia Bonesteel

The long-running 'Lap Quilting with Georgia Bonesteel' is back with a YouTube debut! The famous "how to" quilting show on PBS in conjunction with UNC-TV was broadcast for more than thirty years. Here, you'll find the 4th series (400) and the 11th (1100) series in their entirety. The shows share a variety ofquilting techniques, styles and special guest interviews and tutorials from around the United States the world.

Georgia popularized a technique known as "lap quilting" modernizing the traditional method of using a frame, lap quilting allows the craft to be done practically anywhere. In these episodes, Bonesteel shares the joy of quilting in exciting projects, tips and techniques specific to lap quilting.

Lap Quilting with Georgia Bonesteel premiered in the late 1970s, and was one of the first how-to shows to be broadcast around the United States. Since then, was a staple on PBS stations nationwide, all beginning after Georgia's mother suggested she pitch the show to UNC-TV.
