Land Conservation Foundation

The Land Conservation Foundation is a land trust located in East Central Illinois. LCF is about "preserving natural areas for wildlife...for people...forever." LCF owns the Sangamon River Corridor Reserve near Monticello, IL, where the 2.3-mile Bruce Hannon Levee Trail is located. We also own Mettler Woods Nature Preserve, Charlotte & Dan Brady Woods, and Mouth of Jordan Reserve. Join LCF in exploring these unique natural areas. Experience a floodplain forest, and watch videos of the wide range of wildlife found on and around the level trail, including the mudpuppy salamander, beaver, wild turkey, coyotes, deer, river otter, and more.
