La Jawqa

La Jawqa is a vibrant, committed musical group dedicated to celebrating and reinventing the spellbinding rhythms of Latin America. Although not originally from the Caribbean coast, their melodies draw deeply on the musical traditions of this region, notably those of Colombia, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Specializing in salsa, cumbia, merengue and bachata, La Jawqa revives the legendary sounds of the golden era of Fania All Stars and Cali bands.

Inspired by the energy and virtuosity of salsa masters, La Jawqa skilfully combines classical arrangements with a modern touch.
Live, La Jawqa is a veritable explosion of rhythm and color, inviting audiences to dance along with rich instrumentation and passionate vocal performances, making every concert an inspiring experience.
