Astroparticle and Cosmology Laboratory (APC)

The Astroparticle and Cosmology Laboratory (APC) is a research laboratory jointly supported by the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), Université Paris Cité, the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), the Paris Observatory, and the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES). At the crossroad of particle physics and astrophysics, APC seeks to deepen our understanding of some of the Universe’s biggest questions: its origin and evolution, the nature of neutrinos and cosmic rays, the most energetic phenomena in the Universe, and gravitational waves. To explore these questions, researchers rely on observations from ground-based and space-borne instruments, as well as theoretical physics. This channel showcases their research and discoveries, and takes you behind the scenes of the major experiments in which the laboratory is involved.
