Kensa-Ya

Every Japanese auction car comes with a sheet. It's written in inspector shorthand, in handwriting that ranges from neat to doctor's prescription, and it's the most honest thing anyone will ever tell you about that car.

If you can read it.

Kensa-ya reads it for you: the grade, every scratch and dent mapped to the right panel, the inspector's notes in plain English, what the car will actually cost on your driveway in Australia or New Zealand, and whether you can legally bring it in.

On this channel: real auction sheets decoded, the stuff that "grade 4, minor marks" is quietly hiding, and my own hunt for a Supra. First-time importer, learning the expensive lessons on camera so you don't have to.

Know the car before you bid.
