Hi, I'm Ashley. I'm the founder of Kelowna EMDR Clinic where we primarily use EMDR therapy to help our clients. I'm also a therapist and have been only recently diagnosed with ADHD. 

My goal on this channel is to cover:

1. What it's like to be a therapist with ADHD - challenges and opportunities
2. Various aspects of running a business in the 'Allied Health' space - the good, the bad, and the ugly
3. Talk about EMDR therapy: how it works, how it helps, and how it can benefit you, both as a therapist and a human

If you are not familiar with it, EMDR is a widely practiced form of psychotherapy designed to help people recover from traumatic experiences. Unresolved past trauma can manifest in many different ways. PTSD is a classic response to trauma, but people can also experience anxiety, depression, panic attacks, phobias, chronic stress, self-image problems, lack of confidence, relationship and trust issues,  trouble sleeping, unhealthy relationship with food, and many others.
