Purnima Garg - Kathak Dance Co

Born in the capital city of India, Purnima was introduced to Indian classical dancing by her mother and father. She is now a  trained Kathak dancer, performer, choreographer and a teacher in Auckland, New Zealand. 

Purnima got trained in ‘Jaipur Gharaana’ style from her Guru Nandini Singh and Guru Malti Shyam. She currently holds Diploma in Kathak (5 years + 3 years) degree from National Institute of India - Kathak Kendra. She has been the university topper for three consecutive years and have got various opportunities to perform in Delhi, India as well as in Auckland, New Zealand. 
                                     
She decided to assist her Guru in teaching Kathak at the young age while she was still learning. 

Today, she has formed her own Kathak dance company - Natch with Basant Madhur , a very talented, established musician and director of Sargam School of Indian music.
