grew up in the "church" and did all the right things to have people say "well done, good and faithful servant". Was living a lie but I held on to the comfort of knowing that people admired me. I was drowned in sin and was crying inside. After listening to Paul Washer's "Examine Yourself" I started to examine myself and realized how much garbage I took in. I started to read the Bible more and actually cried out to the Lord to deliver me and change me. As time went on I started to change - to reflect Christ more and there was no more hiding. I didn't have to put on a facade. My eyes also opened up to the many lies that the modern "church" preached about. I started to examine where all these ideas came from and my heart's desire was to see the church in Acts. The irony in following Jesus is that you will face persecutions. People may not physically hurt you but will mentally abuse you and distort the things you say to bring you down. I pray that "Christians" would open up their eyes.
