Justice for John Patrick Hayden

At the end of 2013, after two false starts with other clinics and facilitators, we began our surrogacy journey with Dr. Rita Bakshi at the International Fertility Centre in New Delhi, India.  We were matched up with her by Kim Waters Hendrix of Complete Surrogacy Solutions.

In March of 2014, we learned that our surrogate was pregnant with twins.  Our twins were born on October 11, at only 31w5d gestation.  On October 21, our son John died of a preventable disease.  Our daughter Maizy has been seen by multiple specialists to treat a condition that was also contracted in India.

We are sharing our story so that anyone who is considering surrogacy, be it domestic or international, can be fully informed as to what can happen when things don't go according to plan.
