Julian Myles

I’m Julian — a portrait photographer focused on people, creativity, and building a sustainable artistic life. I’m based in NYC and travel throughout the East Coast for work. I’ve been shooting for over a decade and went full-time in 2021.

While portraiture is where my love began, my professional work today is in corporate commercial work.

Before that, I spent more than 10 years as a marketing manager for nonprofit arts organizations, working closely with jazz and classical artists. That experience shaped how I think about photography — not just as an art form, but as a practice that requires discipline, systems, and intention to sustain.

This channel is less about gear and quick tricks, and more about how photographers think, work, and build longevity. You’ll find insights on photography, editing, creative process, and the business realities of making art for a living.

If you care about mastery, consistency, and building a creative life that lasts — you’re in the right place.
