Jose Lachat

I’m Jose Lachat, a zoologist, diver and underwater filmmaker fascinated by the hidden lives of marine animals.
My passion is discovering and documenting animal behaviour that is rarely seen — especially the strange, elusive and often overlooked creatures living beneath the surface.

I am particularly fascinated by marine invertebrates, including octopuses and annelid worms. I am especially interested in large polychaete worms such as the Bobbit worm, Eunice aphroditois, and species of the genus Polyodontes spec. ("Bigeye").

This channel is about curiosity, observation and discovery — getting close enough to see what these animals actually do when we simply take the time to watch.

Come with me beneath the surface and discover the creatures that most people never notice.
