Honest Lost Jon (Jon Hoekstra)

100% human-generated Midwestern music. Songwriting deepens my experience of life.

My songs contain birds, dogs, flowers, trees, alone-ness, affirmations, lamentations, love, death, alienation, connection. I'm trying to sing in my own true plain Midwestern accent. I like to write songs that challenge me, especially melodically. So yes, I'll go where my voice can't quite follow :)
