The Pretty and the Gritty with Jen Splane NP

Your face: the pretty parts and the gritty parts of aesthetics, aging, and women's health. The Pretty is what you want: the jawline back, the glow, the face that matches how you feel. The Gritty is everything nobody puts in the before-and-after: what's actually happening under your skin as you age, what the studies say works, what it costs, and how often it goes sideways. Jen Splane is a nurse practitioner in Rothesay, New Brunswick. She runs a medical aesthetics clinic, prescribes hormone therapy in primary care, trains other injectors, and has read more papers on collagen than anyone should. Every second Monday: what she'd do, what she wouldn't buy, and why, with the study on the table. Occasionally a guest. Always a source. Never a sales pitch. Education, not medical advice; the person to ask about your face is still your own clinician. Also on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Instagram: @jensplanenp
