Wild Wisdom with Jeannette Paulson Hereniko

Hi, I’m Jeannette Hereniko.

I have spent more than eight decades collecting stories. Some are funny. Some are difficult. Some still surprise me. And some took me many years to understand.

Wild Wisdom is a place for those stories.

Here, I share memories from my life, my family, my work in film and the arts, my travels, and the people and cultures I have encountered along the way. I am especially interested in the stories that do not always make it into official history. The personal ones. The unexpected ones. The stories from below.

I don’t think wisdom comes from having all the answers. Sometimes it comes from making mistakes, taking risks, listening to people who see the world differently, and understanding something years after it happened.

That is what I hope to explore here.

Watch a story. Stay for another. And if one of my stories reminds you of something from your own life, I would love to hear yours too.

Welcome to Wild Wisdom.

I’m glad you’re here.
