Hello! My name is Margie, I live in New Castle County Delaware; zone 7. I have always had an interest in gardening since my high school gardening club. The passion was so great that I packed my plants to takeoff to college. I often had my college friends enter my dorm room in their Tarzan voice, but nevertheless my plants give me comfort. After college my journey was a married life and a mom still with a passion of gardening, but living on the 3rd floor of a apartment building became a challenge to garden. “Square foot gardening” Mel Bartholomew was the answer. We build a 8 x 8 raised bed on the patio and there I grew tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes and even squash. As my journey in life became more demanding my love for gardening was put on hold to raise my family and to pursue my career. Retired, my passion was back making up for all the lost time that I always thought of. Today I Garden daily and it gives me great joy.
