Jany McPherson Official Channel

Jany McPherson is a Cuban pianist, singer and composer whose artistry bridges contemporary jazz and Caribbean roots with depth and individuality. Born in Guantánamo and trained at the National School of Arts in Havana, she first gained recognition in Cuba, where she received the prestigious Adolfo Guzmán Award.

Now based in France, she has built an international career defined by refined expression and artistic integrity. Her album A Long Way (2023) features predominantly original compositions and reflects an intimate dialogue between piano and voice.

In 2022, John McLaughlin invited her as a special guest for major festivals including Montreux Jazz Festival and North Sea Jazz Festival. In October 2023, she officially joined the John McLaughlin Quintet as pianist and vocalist for The Liberation Tour.

She has appeared on major international stages including London Jazz Festival, Nice Jazz Festival and Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome.
