The 1995 BBC version of Pride and Prejudice and the Netherfield Ball where Mr Darcy danced with Miss Elizabeth Bennet, inspired the Jane Austen Dancers of Bath to be founded in 1996 - the first and foremost Regency dance group in Bath and the UK.
The Jane Austen Dancers provide dance classes for people to enjoy as a hobby - covering Regency and late Georgian period (c 1775 - 1830).  The Jane Austen Dancers share their knowledge and pleasure at balls, demonstrations and other events.
