His older brother put him on to Goodie Mob and Outkast. Playing drums in his school’s music band and the youth symphonic orchestra of his hometown taught him the ancestry of jazz and classical music. And then, there were skate videos, with their beautifully curated scores. In their very own way, these videos introduced him to hip-hop, and showed him the invaluable merit of music. 

His humble beginnings in the art of beat making didn’t start until years later though. When audio software became easily accessible, he defined his sound by learning from the artists he looked up to - Madlib, MF Doom, Jake One, J Dilla, Joe Beats, Chief Xcel. Beats by the intern are sample laden, jazz infused, and always come with a shuffle that'll make your heart swing.
