Islamia Public School Thiksay Leh-Ladakh

Islamia Public School is the oldest school in Leh Ladakh established in 1930 as a Maktab. Later upgraded to Primary then middle and then high school and presently functioning as one of the reputed high school in the region. Islamia Public School Thiksay is also a branch of this school established in 1980 in Thiksay village which is almost 21Kms from the city. Islamia Public School is run by a local unaided committee namely Anjumun Moinul Islam. The main motive of the school is to provide quality education in this remote and harsh region without any caste, creed and religion.
