Safe Space - Self Defense with Ira Raines

I am Ira Raines, an instructor of Empowerment Self Defense and Wu-Wei Kung Fu.
Since the age of 15, I have worked in the field of informal, humanistic education, developing and conducting training programs and workshops. I have been practicing martial arts since 2008. In 2021, I opened the first and only women’s class in Wu-Wei Kung Fu — a space for strength, support, and growth. Since 2022, I am a certified international instructor of Empowerment Self Defense. I conduct both in-person and online workshops on personal safety and self-defense for women, children, teenagers, and mixed-gender groups. I believe that every person not only has the right, but also the ability to defend themselves — with their body, voice, and boundaries. My goal is to help people discover this strength within themselves and apply it in everyday life.
