Interested in  dog behavior, rescue, animal welfare, and the human-animal bond? Billie Groom, expert in Canine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, began her journey on a mission to understand why dogs were being euthanized and surrendered for behavioral reasons. Her work led to the creation of UPWARD Dogology, a scientifically proven formula grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, addressing behaviors associated with anxiety, aggression, and ones common with adolescent and adopted dogs. The success of this formula led to an unintentional successful career as a behaviorist, and a reputation as an industry disruptor. Billie was awarded by the Toronto Humane Society, and is a recipient of the 2021 Global Best Business Award. She is the author of an award-winning book, the host of her podcast, and is a contributing blog writer. She is a graduate of Western University, and a member of the Dog Writers Association of America, Comparative Cognition Society, and the Animal Behavior Society.
