imthareason

i’m imthareason (fka ThaReason), an artist and producer from hammond but tapped into the chicago scene. i first got into music watching my dad make beats and rap on reason 5 back in the day, which basically sparked everything for me. i actually started out on the production side back in 2022 under the name izaacbeats. around that time, i dropped my first ever song called "chicken" on soundcloud under the name young lg. right after that release, me and my cousin started recording together. we cooked up tracks like "klay thompson remix" and "young sliders," and having him there to create with really drove my inspiration to keep going. later on i switched over to imthareason and dropped "Trip to Paradise." that track actually gave me my first real taste of clout after it got played on ilytrxgic’s twitch stream. he rated it and roasted it, but it put people onto my sound. my roots are definitely in plugg music, but lately i’ve been trying to experiment way more.
