Immigrant Men & Family Network - Canada

Men are expected to live in a certain kind of way in society. They are socialized not to talk about emotional problems, be tough, exhibit strength and continuously prove their manhood. So men have hidden problems they cannot share. Men's health dialogue is therefore an initiative that is committed to addressing the unique challenges that confronts the health and wellbeing of young boys and men through media and public awareness programs, preventive health education and tools, advocacy and research. It seeks to highlight how cultural, financial, environmental and social factors impact men's health behaviors and health outcomes. Our focus areas of discussion includes mental health, nutrition or diet, physical activity, sexual health, relationship and marriage, abuse, immigration, diseases and many more.
