India is a country of 1.2 billion people, where 70% of the population lives in rural villages and are served by only 30% of the doctors. (Courtesy: KPMG Health Report).

iKure aims to create a comprehensive health solution that seamlessly reaches patients in the rural areas through a Hub & Spoke model. From our own observation on the ground, we have seen that their neighbourhood clinics attract robust patient crowd and the average cost for treatment is in the range of Rs. 15-100 (less than $2). Most of the doctors who run these neighbourhood clinics do not have the basic MBBS qualification and many do not practice allopathy. Therefore, the challenge in this kind of setup is the lack of quality and specialization. With their generic approach, some doctors may unintentionally harm patients than curing them by not using the suitable treatment plan or delaying the diagnosis of the problem. But rural people have no option but to consult these doctors who are available in their proximity.
