The Institute of Legal Research is an Academic Unit dedicated to systematic research in the field of Legal Sciences.
As a general objective, the Institute of Legal Research develops and disseminates research in the different branches of legal sciences. At the same time, it is in charge of promoting, coordinating and participating in the execution of research programs and projects in interdisciplinary fields related to legal studies, to contribute to the progress of the sciences, the humanities, the technique and thus raise the cultural level of the Costa Rican nation through university action.
