The B.E.E.R. League is a 12-team point-system mixed-league that began in DeKalb, IL in 1991 and holds its annual auction in Chicago. The bulk of its members live in Chicago or the suburbs (a couple in the boonies), but some live as far away as Arizona, Connecticut, and Germany. Standings are based on a win-loss system that utilizes weekly ranking as opposed to actual head-to-head. (change to personal voice) we've been on Yahoo since 2006. we have $366 to spend on our 30 players. rosters: 2 C, 1B, 3B, CI, 2B, SS, MI, LF, CF, RF, OF4, OF5, DH / 7 SP, 3 RP / 6 reserves. plus 10 IL, 10 NA spots. scoring - hitting: TB-HR+R+RBI+BB+HBP+SB / pitching: (3*IP)-(3*ER)+(7*W)+(4*Sv)+(3*Hd) we retain up to 15 players from one year to the next, but have no multi-year contracts -- so, almost all players will come to auction at least every other year. we do have a franchise tag you can apply on 1 player each year which increases his salary by $27 and allows him to bypass the auction.
