Friends of Ibba Girls' School

Friends of Ibba Girls School is a UK based charity dedicated to building and developing a residential girls school in Ibba County, South Sudan - one of the poorest countries in the world, and one of the hardest places for girls to complete their education.

The school opened in March 2014 to its first intake of 40 girls and now has more than 250 girls enrolled, with a further two cohorts to be added before the school reaches its planned capacity of 360. This vital access to safe, quality education will empower the girl students to lead critical development for their communities and nation in the years ahead.
