Je suis amateur de « chansons françaises » c’est à dire de chansons dans lesquelles le texte a autant, voire plus d’importance que la musique (je suppose que ce type de chanson existe ailleurs qu’en France). Je désire la faire connaitre et apprécier auprès d’un public anglophone. Mon anglais est , malheureusement, très scolaire mais j’espère faire saisir au visiteur le sens des paroles et je demande votre indulgence .

I’m a "French songs » lover, that is to say songs in which the text is as much, if not more important than music (I suppose that this type of song exists elsewhere than in  France). I want to introduce English-speaking people to these songs. My English is, unfortunately, very academic but I hope to make the visitor understand the meaning of the words and I ask for your indulgence.
