How we play football...

Football coaching doesn't need to be complicated.

How We Play helps grassroots coaches explain the game with simple pictures, practical advice and playing principles young players can remember.

We're developing free visual playbooks, formation guides and tactical explainers to help coaches organise their teams, develop their players and make the move between different formats of football.

Whether you're an experienced volunteer coach or taking charge of a team for the first time, our aim is simple: make football easier to understand and easier to teach.

Simple pictures. Simple decisions. Play together.
