Hailed by Jackson Browne as “an LA treasure”, we're a Django jazz quintet that showcases music of and inspired by Django Reinhardt (1910-1953)--considered one of the greatest guitarists ever-- as well as French, Roma and Russian vocal numbers, straight ahead jazz repertoire, film score selections and our own Django-inspired originals. Formed in 2011, the band includes founding members Jim Doyle (drums/vocal) and Carl Byron (accordion/piano/vocal); along with Josh Workman (guitar), Jake Bluenote (guitar/banjo/vocal), and Paul Eckman (upright bass). The group’s LPs, Cinema Swing and Nova, have earned rave reviews in the US and Europe.
