Hospital Radio Chelmsford

The Chelmsford and District Hospital Broadcasting Service is a registered charity (269851) and offers a range of services to the health care organisations in Mid Essex.

Our charity primarily work with Mid-Essex Hospitals Services NHS Trust.  However, as the future of health care lends itself to more community care we are beginning to work with other community health care groups.

Hospital Radio Chelmsford is the radio station we operate, which has a complementary Magazine which is free to patients.  We are based in Broomfield Hospital and are run completely by volunteers.  The charity was started in 1964 and you can read about our history by clicking here.

Our organisation is a member of the Hospital Broadcasting Association and Chelmsford Agency for Volunteering.
